LIFEdance! develops essential coaching skills, listening and responding with understanding and discernment while staying centred, keeping a clear sense of ones own values and the aim of the session.

What can I do when words fail?

LIFEdance! makes the energy work by being aware of and tuning to the energetic state of the coachee as it shifts and changes from moment to moment throughout the session.  LIFEdance! raises your awareness of body attitude and subliminal movement cues within the session.  When you have the skills to match the coachee energetically you can move the coachee into a powerful creative space.

 

LIFEdance! enables you as a coach to work more creatively with emotions such as joy, anger, hatred, by transforming and using different and difficult emotional states for productive action.

 

How dance and coaching work together:

  • Think about how to stay centred in your dance without excluding the other.

  • Describe the movements you do spontaneously.

  • Which gifts of your dance reveal what you could share more of?

  • The smallest dance is the dance of the breath – in stillness.

  • Links between unexpressed parts of personality and dance ‘styles’ that don’t occur spontaneously.

  • Creating movements anchors, power moves to enable your coachee to take resources from the session into their everyday life.

  • Learn how to rekindle your creative spark during the session.

  • Become more able to notice and read the everyday dance of gestures and postures.

  • Synchronising and mirroring your coachee with gestures.

  • Choosing when to tune in and out.

  • Using Non Verbal Communication to help your coachee to stay present.

  • Using Non Verbal Communication to soothe, energise, balance, challenge your coachee.

  • Helping your coachee to explore areas that they find difficult to articulate in words, observing the use of breathing in your coaching.

  • Learning to consciously shape and use different energetic states and qualities.

  • Pacing your clients.

  • Balancing active and receptive energies – leading and being led as a coach.

  • Supporting your coachee to create the feeling of time, peace and spaciousness.
